A global business in Derbyshire is seeking to recruit a Procurement Engineer to join their expanding Supply Chain team.
Reporting into senior management, you will specifically be dealing with electro-mechanical assembly products. You will need to have a very strong background in manufacturing and engineering of highly complex assembly. Together with this, you will need to demonstrate strong purchasing knowledge, have a proven track record in supplier engagement and be commercially astute.
Working closely with the extensive global supply base, you will have a good understanding of Lean Manufacturing, have sound experience of Cost Management and have Program Management skills. Due to the nature of this role, you will need to be willing to travel extensively given the geographical spread of suppliers.
If you can demonstrate the above, then the salary will be in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits.
