Inside Out Purchasing & Supply have been appointed by a Prestigious Blue Chip Global Engineering Company to recruit a Sourcing Specialist. This is a contract role, up to 12 months, paying £24 per hour (to contractor - ltd company). This role is to be based in County Durham.
Job Description and Requirements:
. Sourcing Specialist with specific knowledge of Eastern European, India and Asia Pacific Rim sourcing.
. Commodity awareness in the following areas is essential: Non-Metallics, Electrics, Hydraulics, Tubes, Fabrications, Castings (Steel & SG Iron), and Machining.
. Knowledge and application of a TCO (Total Cost of Ownership) approach is also essential, as is a close understanding of Supply Chain relationships.
. Essential Qualifications: CIPS and Degree qualified or equivalent
A successful candidate will be required to lead project teams to reduce costs, driving financial results. Scope moderately complex projects, develop project plans and business cases. Project leadership includes identifying opportunities, defining and financially justifying projects, launching project teams, using good project management to manage team activities, tracking project status and results, removing and elevating project barriers. 6 Sigma experience is preferable.
