Inside Out Purchasing & Supply have been engaged by this well know High Street retailer (based in Hook) to recruit an experienced Merchandiser.
Key Purpose of Role:
* To continuously understand consumer requirements by brand to ensure Merchandising plans align with the customers' needs.
* To work with other Functions and suppliers in order to ensure that sales and profit are maximised through an efficient Supply Chain.
* To support the Merchandising department in delivering its objectives through the management of specific Formats and suppliers. This includes management of the OTB process, specific range management for both brands, and identifying improved ways of working to support the business.
* Effectively communicate with specific suppliers and internal key stakeholders to ensure continuous development of relationships to support business needs.
Key Accountabilities
* To continuously evolve Format specific range plans to meet consumer requirements.
* To support the delivery of sales, margin and the stock budget.
* Effectively manage Residual/ non ranged stock to ensure that product is exited in the most cost efficient way.
* Manage format specific product from "cradle to grave" through range planning.
* Through the Open to Buy (OTB) process ensure format specific targets are achieved.
* To work collaboratively with the buyers to ensure format range plans and targets are achieved.
* Aggregation of new release forecasting by Brand for specific formats.
* To support Merchandise Managers in working collaboratively with suppliers to maximise supply chain opportunities.
* To continuously challenge ways of working, develop processes which will maximise efficiencies across the supply chain and share with other members of the team to ensure a consistent approach.
* Working collaboratively with team members to meet team objectives and to develop Assistant Merchandisers. This includes ensuring consistency of processes across the function.
* Work with Allocations to ensure replenishment is in line with store requirements.
Education:
* Ideally educated to Degree level
