Inside Out Purchasing and Supply has been engaged by a leading organisation in their field to recruit a Buyer to work within their health and beauty sourcing team. The successful applicant must have previous far east sourcing experience.
The Role :
* To source new supply routes
* To obtain actuate costings and specifications from suppliers. Suppliers based both in Europe and the Far East
* Accurately cost a project and constantly review these costing whilst managing the project so that it is brought in within the original budget
* Assist in the negotiation of prices with the suppliers
* Liaise with suppliers on production schedules and sample approvals.
* Produce critical paths, manage the supply base to ensure key dates within the critical path are met
* Manage orders through the approval, testing and production processes to final delivery
* Reviewing current supply routes and where necessary assisting the buying team in sourcing new ones
* Assist in defining the inspection and testing criteria
* Managing the quality control process
* Raise Purchase Order contracts to suppliers
* Work closely with the UK & Far East operations team to ensure accurate and timely deliveries
* Where necessary liaise with UK clients
