Sourcing Manager
Salary: £40000 - £45000 per annum
Location: Northamptonshire
A global leader based in Northamptonshire are seeking to recruit a Sourcing Manager to join their Procurement Department.
As Sourcing Manager, you will:
* Develop and implement commodity strategies/services strategies as assigned, considering key industry, market and economic trends.
* Lead sourcing processes for purchases that address technical, business and administrative opportunities.
* Develop (or consolidate) and maintain a supply base of competitive and innovative companies.
* Develop, negotiate, and implement contracts, ensuring statements of work (SOW), deliverables and performance metrics are clear and can be easily quantified
* Lead supplier negotiations for allocated commodities
* Identify, plan and implement continuous improvement opportunities within the supply chain.
* Facilitate work across departments, manufacturing plants and business units to develop common requirements and business processes to leverage key suppliers.
* Possibly responsible for the day to day management of a small team of Analysts and/or Sourcing Specialists.
In terms of experience, you will require:
* A degree (or equivalent) in a business or business related discipline.
* MCIPS qualified (or willingness to become qualified), would be advantageous.
* It is essential that you possess demonstrable work experience in a purchasing role, ideally within an engineering/manufacturing - automotive, rail or power generation industry.
* You must also be able to demonstrate strong communication skills, the ability to effectively build relationships internally with those cross functionally and with key decision makers externally.
If you can demonstrate the above, the salary will be in the region of £40,000 - £45,000 plus benefits package.
