Inside Out Purchasing and Supply has been engaged to recruit an experienced Buyer for a leading electrical wholesaler/distributor. Experience within a similar electrical distribution business is highly advantageous but our client will also consider other distributor experience.

The Role :

Negotiation of cost and terms
Must have strong Vendor management experience
Ensure the timely placing of purchase orders on the assigned suppliers
Ensure suppliers costs are managed at levels to meet company targets.
Expedite supplier purchase orders ensuring deliveries are on time and in full.
Record and report on stock outs.
Create and maintain supplier performance records.
Monitor and maintain product delivery schedules and liaise with Sales teams.
Reconcile purchase / supplier invoices resolving any discrepancies.
Liaise with the warehouse teams regarding the schedule of supplier deliveries.
Maintain any relevant purchasing or stock reports.
