Inside Out Purchasing and Supply has been engaged by a FMCG company to recruit a Purchasing Manager. You must be able to drive to Folkestone as their location is not commutable via public transport.

The Role

Reviewing product and product sub-categories within the portfolio, conferring with suppliers and other key stakeholders to ensure the right product at the right price. Evaluating commercial offers, customer tender support, product inventories.

Job Accountabilities

* Reduce cost of goods in relevant categories.
* Category Management
* Selecting new products and review existing product portfolios
* Sourcing the right suppliers
* Negotiating prices
* Ensuring products are delivered on time
* Interpreting reports and predicting future sales
* Pitching ideas to senior management
* Aiding Stock control
* Regular meetings with existing suppliers to manage the category.
* Manage a small team of up to four buyers.
